About Word Search
Word Search is a timed puzzle game where players locate hidden words inside a grid of letters. Each level provides a themed list of words that can appear horizontally, vertically, diagonally, or backwards, and the goal is to find them all before the 90-second timer expires.
The objective is to find every target word hidden in the letter grid before the 90-second time limit reaches zero.
Word Search challenges players to locate a list of hidden words inside a grid filled with letters. Every level has a specific category and a collection of target words that must be discovered. Words can run horizontally, vertically, diagonally, and backwards, so players need to inspect the grid carefully rather than searching in only one direction.
To select a word, press or touch the starting letter and drag across the letters until the complete word is selected. Release the pointer to submit the selection. Correct words are highlighted in the grid and marked as found in the word list, while incorrect selections trigger a visual error response.
Each puzzle has a 90-second time limit, creating a race against the clock. Players also receive three hints per level. A hint highlights the starting cell of one undiscovered word, helping when a particular word is difficult to locate.
The game contains 50 progressively larger levels. Early levels use smaller grids, while later levels increase the grid size and the number of words. How to Play
- Start a level from the Play button or choose an unlocked level from Level Select.
- Check the category and word list displayed beside the letter grid.
- Search the grid for the listed words.
- Words may appear horizontally, vertically, diagonally, or backwards.
- Press and drag from the first letter to the final letter of a word.
- Release the mouse or finger to submit the selection.
- Correctly discovered words are highlighted and marked as found.
- Continue until every word in the list has been discovered.
- Use one of the three available hints if you cannot locate a word.
- Complete the entire word list before the timer reaches zero.
If the timer reaches zero before all words are found, the level ends and must be restarted.
