About Battle Brigade

Battle Brigade is a top-down survival shooter built around continuous enemy waves. The player controls a soldier, moves around a large battlefield, aims at enemies, and fires to survive increasingly difficult waves. Defeated enemies can provide score and occasional health, weapon, or combat power-ups.

The primary objective is to survive successive enemy waves while defeating enemies and building the highest possible score. The game also tracks the wave reached and number of enemies defeated, while occasional power-ups and weapon drops help the player survive longer.

Battle Brigade is a top-down survival shooter focused on clearing enemy waves and pushing your score as high as possible. You begin with an Assault Rifle and a soldier equipped with health and armor, then move around a large battlefield while aiming and firing at incoming enemies. On desktop, movement uses WASD or the arrow keys, the mouse controls aiming, and the left mouse button or Space fires. Touch players use a virtual joystick for movement and a right-side control for aiming and firing.

Enemy waves become larger and stronger as the run continues. Soldiers and Scouts provide close-range pressure, while Ranged units can attack from a distance; Heavy and Elite units become part of later waves. Every fifth wave introduces a boss encounter with its own health bar and attack patterns. Defeated enemies award points and can occasionally drop weapons or power-ups.

Collecting drops can restore health or temporarily provide Rapid Fire, increased damage, a Shield, or double score. Wave clears also award score bonuses, while consecutive kills contribute to the combo system. Players who enjoy top-down shooting games or survival games may find the wave-based format familiar, while the weapon pickups provide another reason to explore the battlefield. For more similar challenges, action games and browser shooter games are natural categories to explore.

How to Play

  1. Select START BATTLE from the main menu.
  2. A short 3–2–1–GO countdown starts the battle.
  3. Move your soldier around the battlefield while aiming toward enemies.
  4. Fire at incoming enemies using the verified attack controls.
  5. Defeat every enemy in the current wave. Once the battlefield is cleared, a wave bonus is added to the score and the next wave begins.
  6. Collect drops that appear after some enemy defeats. These can restore health, change weapons, or provide temporary combat bonuses.
  7. Watch your health and armor bars and avoid enemy contact and projectiles.
  8. Every fifth wave introduces a boss instead of a normal enemy group.
  9. The run ends when the player's health reaches zero. The game then displays the score, wave reached, enemies defeated, and best score.

Winning & Losing Conditions

Winning Condition

There is no final victory condition or finite campaign completion. A wave is successfully cleared when all active enemies in that wave have been defeated, after which the next wave begins.

Losing Condition

The run ends when the player's health reaches zero. The game displays MISSION FAILED and records the run's score, wave, kills, and best score.

Tips & Strategies

  • Keep moving while shooting. Enemy units pursue the player, while Ranged enemies attack from distance, so remaining mobile reduces the chance of being surrounded.
  • Use the battlefield space. Solid crates, sandbags, rocks, barriers, and vehicles obstruct movement and block bullets, so positioning around them can provide useful separation from enemies.
  • Prioritize Ranged enemies when they appear. They can fire projectiles toward the player instead of relying only on close-range attacks.
  • Collect useful drops quickly. Health packs restore up to 30 health, while Shield, Damage, Rapid Fire, and Score x2 effects provide temporary advantages.
  • Use weapons according to the situation. The Assault Rifle is balanced, the Shotgun fires six pellets, the SMG has a very fast fire rate, and the Heavy Cannon deals high damage with an explosive impact.
  • Exploit combo scoring. Consecutive kills build a combo, and the score system awards additional points while the combo remains active.
