About Carrom
Carrom is a board game where you control a striker to knock white and black coins into the four corner pockets. Choose your shot angle, position the striker along your baseline, set the power, and shoot; pocketing your assigned coins is the main route to winning.
The primary objective is to pocket all of your assigned coins before your opponent. Player colors are assigned when the first legally pocketed white or black coin establishes which color belongs to that player; if the Queen has been pocketed and remains pending, it must also be covered before the player can win.
Carrom is a turn-based board game built around precise striker placement, aiming, power control, and pocketing. Each match begins with a central formation of 18 playing coins plus the red Queen, while the striker starts on the player's baseline. Your first legally pocketed white or black coin determines your color, after which you must clear that color before your opponent.
Before each shot, position the striker along your baseline and adjust the AIM and POWER controls. The board uses four corner pockets, and collisions and wall rebounds affect how coins travel after the striker is fired. Pocketing one of your own coins without a foul gives you another turn, while pocketing the striker produces a foul and ends your turn.
The red Queen has a separate requirement: pocketing it makes the Queen pending, and you must subsequently pocket one of your own coins on a non-foul shot to cover it. A successful cover awards a Queen bonus. If you enjoy other precision-based challenges, explore our puzzle games for similar gameplay. How to Play
- Start a match from Play Now, Player vs Player, or Player vs Computer.
- In Player vs Computer mode, choose Easy, Medium, or Hard difficulty.
- Your striker starts on your baseline. Drag it left or right to position it within the legal baseline area.
- Set the shooting direction with the AIM slider. You can also drag the striker to interact with the aiming setup.
- Adjust the POWER slider to choose the strength of the shot.
- Press SHOOT to strike the coins. You cannot shoot again while the pieces are still moving.
- Pocket your assigned color—white or black—into any of the four corner pockets.
- If you pocket the red Queen, it becomes pending and must be covered by pocketing one of your own coins on a later, non-foul shot.
- Pocketing the striker causes a foul and ends your turn.
- The match ends when a player has cleared all of their assigned coins and the Queen is not still pending.
Winning & Losing Conditions
Winning Condition
A player wins when all coins of their assigned color have been pocketed and the Queen is either not pending or has been successfully covered.
Losing Condition
A player loses when the opponent satisfies the winning condition first. Pocketing the striker is a foul, which ends the current turn, but it does not by itself end the match.

Tips & Strategies
- Position the striker deliberately: Move it along your baseline before shooting to create a better angle toward the target coin.
- Use the power slider carefully: Higher power gives the striker more speed, but stronger shots can produce more unpredictable rebounds and collisions.
- Plan for the four corner pockets: The board has pockets at each corner, so consider the coin-to-pocket path before choosing your shooting angle.
- Treat the Queen as a two-step objective: Once the Queen is pocketed, plan your next successful shot around pocketing one of your own coins to cover it.
- Avoid pocketing the striker: A striker pocket is explicitly treated as a foul and ends your turn.
- Use extra turns efficiently: Legally pocketing one of your own coins, or the Queen, allows the current player to shoot again.
