About UNO Rush

UNO Rush is a turn-based arcade color-matching card game played against AI opponents. Match the top discard card by color, number, or symbol, or use a wild card when appropriate. The goal is to empty your hand before the other players while managing action cards and the special UNO Rush call.

The primary objective is to be the first player to play every card in your hand. Cards can normally be played by matching the active color, matching the number, matching an action-card symbol, or using a wild card. In Levels mode, winning a round completes the current level, unlocks the next level, and awards a score.

UNO Rush is a turn-based arcade card game where you compete against AI opponents by matching cards from your hand to the active discard card. A playable card can match the current color, match the number of the top card, match its action symbol, or be a wild card. The available action cards include Skip, Reverse, and Draw Two, while Wild and Wild Draw Four cards can change the active color.

Each round begins with seven cards in your hand. When you have no playable card, use the draw pile or the on-screen DRAW button. If the newly drawn card is playable, you can play it immediately. When you reach one card, the pulsing RUSH! button must be used before an opponent catches you and gives you two penalty cards.

You can start a configurable quick play match or work through the game's ten-level level progression. Players looking for similar challenges can explore arcade games or strategy games.

Settings let you adjust AI difficulty and opponent count, while optional draw stacking and the strict Wild Draw Four rule change how certain cards behave. Sound effects, optional ambient music, pause, saved progress, and mid-game continuation are also built into the game.

How to Play

  1. Select QUICK PLAY for a configurable match or choose an unlocked level from LEVELS.
  2. Each player starts with 7 cards. The game deals the cards and establishes the first discard card.
  3. On your turn, select a highlighted playable card. Tap/click it once to select it, then tap/click it again to play it.
  4. Match the discard card by color, number, or symbol, or use a Wild card.
  5. When playing a Wild or Wild Draw Four, choose the next active color from the color-selection menu.
  6. If you have no playable card, press DRAW or select the draw pile. A newly drawn playable card can be played immediately.
  7. Use Skip, Reverse, and Draw Two cards strategically. Draw Two and Wild Draw Four can also participate in stacking when the Stack Draw Cards setting is enabled.
  8. When you reach one card, press RUSH! to call UNO Rush. If you fail to call it and an opponent catches you, you receive 2 penalty cards.
  9. Continue playing until one player has no cards remaining.
  10. In Levels mode, winning completes the current level and unlocks the next available level.

Winning & Losing Conditions

Winning Condition

You win the round when you play the last card in your hand, leaving you with zero cards.

Losing Condition

You lose the round when an AI opponent plays the last card in its hand before you do. If you fail to call RUSH! after reaching one card and an opponent catches you, you receive 2 penalty cards, but the round does not immediately end.

Tips & Strategies

  1. Watch the active color rather than only the top-card number. A card matching the current color is playable even when its number differs.
  2. Keep Wild cards for difficult turns. They can be played regardless of the current color and let you choose the next active color.
  3. Use Draw Two and Wild Draw Four cards when an opponent is close to finishing. These cards increase the target player's hand and can disrupt their progress.
  4. Remember the strict Wild Draw Four rule. When that setting is enabled, you cannot play Wild Draw Four if you have a non-wild card matching the active color.
  5. Call RUSH! immediately after reaching one card. The RUSH! state creates a catch opportunity for opponents, and being caught adds two cards to your hand.
  6. Use stacking deliberately when enabled. A player facing a draw stack can play a compatible Draw Two or Wild Draw Four instead of immediately taking the accumulated cards.
