About World Quiz
World Quiz is a browser-based geography trivia game where players answer questions about countries, capitals, flags, landmarks, currencies, geography, and culture. Players choose a game mode, category, difficulty, and quiz length, then answer four-option questions before the per-question timer expires. Correct answers earn points, while consecutive correct answers build a streak and unlock additional scoring bonuses.
World Quiz is a multiple-choice geography trivia game built around questions covering countries, capitals, flags, landmarks, currencies, geography, and culture. Before starting, players can choose from four displayed game modes, select a topic, set the difficulty, and choose a quiz length of 10 to 100 questions, depending on the questions available for the selected combination.
Each question presents four possible answers. Players can click or tap an answer, while desktop players can use the 1–4 keys for faster selection. Every question has a countdown timer: 20 seconds on Easy, 15 seconds on Medium, and 12 seconds on Hard. Correct answers earn 100 base points, with additional speed, streak, and milestone bonuses available. Incorrect answers and time-outs reset the current streak, and the game provides the correct answer with an explanation.
Players who enjoy knowledge-based challenges can also explore trivia games or browse geography games for similar subjects. Categories such as educational games can provide more learning-focused gameplay, while quiz games offer other multiple-choice challenges.
At the end of a session, World Quiz displays the final score, accuracy, correct answers, best streak, and performance rating. A local high score is also saved for future sessions.
How to Play
- Select Play Quiz from the main menu.
- Choose one of the available modes: Classic Quiz, Time Challenge, Streak Challenge, or Category Quiz.
- Select a category such as Mixed Geography, Capitals, Flags, Landmarks, Currencies, Countries, Geography, or Culture.
- Choose a difficulty:
- Easy: 20 seconds per question
- Medium: 15 seconds per question
- Hard: 12 seconds per question
- Choose the number of questions: 10, 15, 20, 30, 50, or 100, subject to the number of available questions for the selected category and difficulty.
- Read each question and select one of the four answer buttons.
- On desktop, press 1–4 to select answers A–D.
- Answer quickly to maximize the speed bonus and try to maintain a consecutive-answer streak.
- If the timer reaches zero, the question is marked incorrect and the correct answer and explanation are shown.
- After the selected questions are completed, the game displays your score, accuracy, correct-answer count, best streak, and performance rating.
Objective
The primary objective is to complete the selected quiz by answering world and geography questions correctly. Players also aim to maximize their score by answering quickly and maintaining consecutive correct-answer streaks.
Winning & Losing Conditions
Winning Condition
There is no traditional win screen or binary victory condition. A quiz is successfully completed when all questions in the selected quiz session have been processed, after which the results screen shows the final score and performance.
Losing Condition
There is no traditional game-over condition. A wrong answer earns no points for that question and resets the current streak. If the per-question timer reaches zero, the question is also marked incorrect and the game continues to the next question.

Tips & Strategies
- Answer quickly when you are confident. Correct answers receive a speed bonus of up to 50 points based on the remaining time.
- Protect your streak. Every consecutive correct answer increases the streak bonus, while an incorrect answer or time-out resets the streak to zero.
- Target milestone streaks. Correct-answer streaks of 5, 10, and 20 trigger additional milestone bonuses.
- Use number keys on desktop. Press 1, 2, 3, or 4 to select the corresponding answer without moving to the mouse.
- Pause when necessary. P, Esc, or the on-screen pause button stops the quiz timer until you resume.
- Choose the quiz length carefully. Some category/difficulty combinations contain fewer questions than the selected maximum, so the actual session can be shorter than the chosen count.
