About Love Colors

Love Colors is a browser-based coloring game where you choose a drawing, select colors, and fill its line-art regions using painting tools. Complete at least 88% of a drawing to finish it, with higher coverage earning up to three stars and a higher score.

The objective is to color the selected line-art drawing until at least 88% of its fillable area is colored. Players can aim for 96% or 99% coverage to earn two or three stars respectively, while completing all 24 drawings leads to the game's overall victory state.

Love Colors is a browser-based coloring game built around 24 hand-crafted line-art drawings divided into six galleries: Hearts, Animals, Flowers, Food, Fashion, and Fantasy. Choose a drawing, select a color, and fill the artwork using the Brush, Fill, or Eraser tools. The Brush lets you paint by dragging across the canvas, while Fill colors an enclosed region in one action. You can also adjust brush size, use a custom color, and correct mistakes with Undo and Redo.

Each drawing has a completion percentage based on how much of its fillable area has been colored. Reach 88% to complete a drawing and earn one star, 96% for two stars, or 99% for three stars. Completing a drawing with at least one star unlocks the next drawing in its gallery. The game also awards score for coverage, star achievements, and first-time completion.

Normal mode includes a time limit, while Relaxed mode removes the timer for a more unrestricted coloring session. Progress is saved automatically, including unfinished artwork, and completed drawings can be exported as PNG images. Players looking for similar experiences can explore coloring games or casual games. The creative drawing mechanics also make puzzle games a relevant category to explore.

  4. Select a painting tool:

    • Eraser — drag across painted areas to remove color.
  5. Adjust the brush size when using the Brush or Eraser.
  6. Use Undo and Redo if you make a mistake.
  7. Watch the progress percentage in the HUD. A drawing requires at least 88% coverage to be completed.

Winning & Losing Conditions

Winning Condition

A drawing is completed when its colored coverage reaches 88% or more. The game awards stars based on coverage:

  • 88%+ — 1 star
  • 96%+ — 2 stars
  • 99%+ — 3 stars

The next drawing becomes available after completing the previous drawing with at least one star. Completing the final drawing triggers the overall VICTORY screen.

Losing Condition

In normal mode, a drawing is failed when its timer reaches 0 before the 88% completion threshold is reached. Relaxed mode disables the timer, so drawings are not failed because of time.

Tips & Strategies

  • Use Fill for large enclosed regions. The Fill tool can color an enclosed area in one action, making it more efficient than brushing large spaces manually.
  • Switch to the Brush for details. Use a smaller brush size around narrow shapes and fine sections where flood filling is not appropriate.
  • Use the Eraser to correct mistakes. You can drag the Eraser over painted fillable areas instead of restarting the entire drawing.
  • Aim for 99% coverage when chasing three stars. The thresholds are 88%, 96%, and 99%, so a small amount of additional coloring can make the difference between star ratings.
  • Use Relaxed mode if you prefer unrestricted coloring. It removes the drawing timer while leaving the core coloring mechanics intact.
  • Complete drawings with at least one star to unlock the next one. A drawing does not need three stars to progress; reaching the 88% completion threshold is enough.
