About Stickman Hook – Swing Arcade

Stickman Hook – Swing Arcade is a physics-based swinging game where you control a stickman using a rope and overhead hooks. Hold the input to attach to the nearest hook, swing to build momentum, then release at the right moment to fly forward. Reach the checkered finish area while using platforms and bounce pads to recover or gain another launch.

The primary objective is to reach the checkered finish area at the end of each level. Players must use hooks, swinging momentum, releases, solid platforms, and bounce pads to travel through the level without falling out of the playable area.

Stickman Hook – Swing Arcade centers on momentum-based rope swinging. At the start of a level, the stickman moves forward and can attach to the nearest available hook by holding the input. Once attached, the character swings around the anchor while the rope gradually reels in, allowing momentum to build before the player releases and flies forward.

The levels contain hooks, solid platforms, and, in later sections, different bounce pads that launch the character upward or forward. Bounce pads can provide recovery or help maintain movement when a direct swing is difficult. The level HUD shows the current level and progress toward the next one, while the camera follows the character through the course.

The game includes physics games for players interested in momentum-based mechanics and simulation games for related browser experiences. Players looking for more timing-focused challenges can also explore arcade games. Progress is saved locally on the device, and completing levels unlocks additional stickman skins.

The game supports mouse and keyboard play on desktop, while touch input is provided for touchscreen devices.

How to Play

  1. Select PLAY to begin the current level, or choose a level from LEVEL SELECT when it is unlocked.
  2. The stickman starts moving forward automatically.
  3. Hold the mouse button, SPACE, or the touchscreen to attach the rope to the nearest available hook.
  4. While attached, swing around the hook and build forward momentum.
  5. Release the input at the appropriate point in the swing to launch the stickman forward.
  6. Use additional hooks when available to continue the journey.
  7. Land on solid platforms when necessary. Bounce pads can launch the stickman again and provide additional upward or forward movement.
  8. Continue through the course until the character reaches the checkered finish area.
  9. If the stickman falls out of the level or remains stuck on a platform for too long, the level ends and can be restarted.

Winning & Losing Conditions

Winning Condition

A level is completed when the stickman enters the checkered finish area at the end of the course.

Losing Condition

The level ends when the stickman falls below the level's death boundary, moves too far behind the starting area, or remains stuck on a platform for more than 2.5 seconds. A TRY AGAIN screen then allows the player to restart the level.

Tips & Strategies

  • Release based on momentum: Holding the rope too long can cause the stickman to lose the useful trajectory and drop, so release when the swing is carrying you forward.
  • Use hooks continuously: The game automatically targets the nearest suitable hook, making the main challenge choosing the right moment to hold and release rather than manually aiming the rope.
  • Take advantage of bounce pads: When a bounce pad is available, landing on it can launch the stickman upward or forward and help recover from a difficult swing.
  • Watch the level-progress bar: The HUD shows your horizontal progress through the current course, which helps indicate how far you have travelled toward the finish.
  • Use platforms as recovery points: Solid platforms are not merely scenery; they provide places to land and regain a stable position before attaching to another hook.
  • Learn the later pad behavior: Different bounce pads provide different launch strengths and directions, so approach them with enough control to benefit from their launch rather than overshooting the next section.
